From a single chip
to an acceptance-ready safety system
What Hisolarmate does is own the whole chain — protocol, chip, module, terminal, platform. Not for the sake of it: for module-level shutdown, no off-the-shelf chain simultaneously satisfies low power, long life, offline autonomy and supply-chain independence.

Why we build our own radio protocol
LoRa, NB-IoT and PLC are all good technologies, but none was designed for a device that sits on a roof, must survive 25 years, and runs on faint harvesting or a small cell. Forcing them into this role breaks at least one of life, power or cost.
LDSW · low-duty-cycle wireless access
- In-house SOC integrating the LDSW IoT protocol over 2.4 GHz narrowband
- Low duty cycle keeps terminals in deep sleep most of the time — standby current < 10µA
- Published as China communications standard YD/T 6334-2025
- Fully domestic from protocol to chip to module to terminal — no imported silicon or proprietary foreign protocol
The specific problems it solves
- Life: low duty cycle plus ultra-low standby carries the terminal to a 25-year design life
- Coverage: narrowband self-organising mesh delivers 300m+ on complex sites, past roof obstructions
- Concurrency: ≥512 nodes per gateway — no gateway stacking per megawatt
- Autonomy: terminals keep protecting on local policy when offline; safety never depends on the cloud
TinyML — putting judgement inside the terminal
The failure mode PV safety fears most is when a shutdown is needed, the network happens to be gone too. Putting protection logic in the cloud hands the last line of defence to the least reliable link.
Offline autonomy
The TinyML model is embedded in the terminal MCU; it identifies anomalies and completes shutdown without connectivity.
Shutdown on power loss
When supply disappears the default state is open — fail-safe rather than fail-dangerous.
Local criteria
Voltage anomaly, thermal rise and arc signature are judged on-device; raw data upload is not required to decide.

We don't just comply with standards — we co-write them
Whether a technology is genuinely accepted by an industry shows in whether it enters the standard text. On this line Hisolarmate is both a co-drafting member and a patent holder.
